The POP25 Access Radio Window (Ribbon, Device)

The POP25 (Programming Over Project 25) Access Radio Window allows for wireless CPS to radio communications, which includes "over-the-air" Reading, Writing, and Cloning of one "in-the-field" radio at a time.

This is accomplished by proceeding with one of two different methods based on having the targeted radio's IP Address, or needing to first get / retrieve the targeted Radio's IP Address.

Whether the IP Address is known and therefore entered in the CPS, or the IP Address is retrieved during the POP25 process, the correct IP Address of a radio is needed in order to accomplish this wireless communication.

	An Advanced Key with OTAP/POP25 capability must be currently loaded n the CPS (see the Advanced Keys Administrator and the System Key Report).
	In order to select the Automatic Registration Server in this window, you must first define the server in the ARS Data Administrator tool. The ARS Data Administrator Tool is launched from the CPS Menubar's, Tools, Options, Admin, "ARS Data Administrator" button.
	Set the appropriate Communication Method to "POP25", and then select to Read, Write, or Clone. This window is then automatically retrieved and is then capable of the two following layouts.

1.	Enable the Get Radio IP Address from the ARS Server field. The correct IP Address of a radio is needed in order to connect with wireless communications.
2.	Select the Automatic Registration Server containing the in-the-field radio’s IP Address.
3.	Enter a Server Timeout (5 - 60 seconds) to determine the amount of time that the CPS waits for a response from the ARS (Automatic Registration Server).
4.	Enter the Radio's ID. This in-the-field targeted Radio ID is equivalent to the CPS-defined Trunking System's, Unit ID field.
5.	Click the Get IP Only Button. The Radio's IP Address appears in the Received Radio IP Address field.
6.	Define a CPS Session Inactivity Timer (1 - 4 minutes) value.
7.	Click the Access Radio Button to either Read, Write, or Clone the targeted radio.

2.	Enter the Radio's IP Address. The correct IP Address of a radio is needed in order to connect with wireless communications.
3.	Define a CPS Session Inactivity Timer (1 - 4 minutes) value.
4.	Click the Access Radio Button to either Read, Write, or Clone the targeted radio.
